We have been privileged to have been chosen by Sonja Kowanjko who contracts for WHO Weekly Magazine to look after Sascha, as a part of their Best Body Reboot! Sascha suffered a spinal injury last year and has struggled with her weight ever since. WHO was looking for deserving women to be given this chance to put themselves first, and chose Sascha from hundreds of applicants. Sascha has four children, and on top of her injury, her own health was just another thing for her to juggle.
Sascha has 10 weeks with us at IntoYou, and we are determined to do things OUR WAY! While other trainers are flogging their participants, we have given Sascha 2x IntoMum and 2x one on one Personal Training sessions per week, where we include deep core rehab (especially with 4 kids and a spinal injury), cardio, and whole body, functional, strength exercise. She is then seeing Jade for her nutrition plans, seeing Charlie for her style and mental health, and Maddy for her massage and relaxation. It is a holistic, lifestyle, “yin and yan” approach that we are excited to see stacked up alongside traditional Personal Training methods.
Why do we think it will work just as well?
Because we are integrating healthy HORMONE and mental health habits. Because looking after her hormones with relaxation and positive mindset will make it easier for her to lose weight. If all we do is smash her, we run the risk of elevating her stress hormones, which can trigger primitive “fatigue or famine” hormone responses that can cause her body to hold on to body fat.
So far, Sascha has been smashing her pt sessions with Charlie and Jade, and commented on how much she’s loving it and that we don’t injure her!!!
