News Update & Welcome Back Jade!
There’s so much news for IntoYou this week that we had to write a whole blog post about it! Jade has returned this week, kicking off less than 24hrs into her return with Bootcamp. Bootcamp this week was held at Tania Park in Balgowlah. Today she has hit the gym with little opportunity to pause, training her sister in the one break that she had!
Bootcamp next week will be at South Curly, with an abhorrent stairs session, the kind of session that you’d never do by yourself but that feels incredible when you stop! If you feel like coming make time for a coffee afterwards! We are meeting at 9.30am.
In other news, we need 2 more people to have a Twilight Mountain Bike Group over Xmas and New Years! It’s an excellent way to stay motivated over the Christmas period! It will be held at 630pm on Friday nights, includes a real riding jersey, a real mountain bike instructor (yes, it’s Chris, but he is qualified!), a new place to ride every week, a weights program, free gym access, and a bike-training program. All this will be $149 for a 10 week period (but only 8 rides, as Xmas and NYE fall on a Friday night). If we are going to do it, we will start on Friday 27th November. RSVP here: Twilight Mountain Bike Group
Our Christmas party will be held at 1pm at the Football Factory, in Frenchs Forest. We are having a Bubble Football Tournament! We have reached our 20 person quota, but can fit a few more in if you are keen to go. More info here: IntoYou Xmas Party . To join us, email [email protected]
It might be news to some of you that we now have IntoGIRLS training every day at 4.30pm. These sessions are for 12-17 year olds, particularly those that do not participate in regular sport. The sessions are casual, nurturing, purposeful, and the girls all have a hand at deciding the agenda. We have grand plans to combat depression and poor self-image with strength and fitness training. With this in mind, we have thrown our support behind #healthyisthenewskinny. You can buy your top from here: Healthy is the New Skinny . Contact the gym if you know a teenager that may benefit from this program.
We are sad to say good bye to Helen this week. Helen helped us out on a Wednesday morning while Jade was away, and we had high hopes that she’d stay with us forever! She will certainly be back if we ever need her, but not on a regular basis. On a brighter note, Clare will take over, as it’s an opportunity to keep in touch! In addition, if you have prolapse, chronic illness, or are high risk for exercise, Clare will train you until you’re strong enough to join the regular program.
Our 60-days to Healthy Living Challenge started last week, and our clients have lost weight already! This is a 2-part challenge that is designed to break old habits with an aggressively supplemented eating plan, then establish new ones with a flexible, un-supplemented one! The first part is where you lose the weight, and the second part is where you keep it off. The challenge is supported by your trainer and an Arbonne consultant, so you are constantly within reach of assistance if you need it. You can join the program here: 60 Days to Healthy Living Challenge
We have decided to head to Nepal to support the rebuild process for our gym trip 2016. The Australian Government has reduced it’s travel advice to what it was before the earthquake, and we have spoken to a couple of tourists who have trekked recently, who have had wonderful experiences. We feel that it is an opportunity to see the country when they need us the most. Hike Nepal is $3450 and includes:
- Return airfares
- Accommodation
- Meals whilst on the trek
- Guide whilst in Nepal (Aussie hikes will be assisted by Google Maps)
- Porters (in Nepal)
- 12 weeks of hiking training (part of hiking group)
- 12 hikes (part of hiking group)
- 3 weights programs (part of hiking group)
- Training top
- 12 weeks of free gym access
More info can be found here: Hike Nepal!
Deposit of $1000 is due before 30th November, with the balance either paid off by (or paid on) 28th Feb 2016.
What this means is that we will have a hiking group from 9.30am on the 23rd January 2016. Hiking group is $ 199 and includes:
- 12 weeks of hiking training ($132).
- 12 different hikes, including 2 full day hikes and one overnighter ($120).
- 3 weights programs ($198, one a month, to keep those legs springy!)
- Training top ($20)
- 12 weeks of free gym access ($132)
**$602 of value!!**
Before you decide that you’re not fit or strong enough, you need to know this: we train many many many sick and injured people. Of the people we have taken on oversea’s adventures, we have had 2 diabetics (one type 1 and one type 2), over 60’s, two morbidly obese people, a debilitating back injury, one person riddled in arthritis, and even one or two fresh out of surgery! In addition, many of our participants are mums, with varying degrees of deep core damage. Our training programs are progressive, meaning that you start with what you can do and build up. We firmly believe that with a progressive, intelligent, and specific program, you will be safe and fitter than ever! Use the link above to stay in the loop, or email [email protected]
Thanks to everyone for their support!
