City to Manly Hike

The Hiking Group meet at Manly Wharf at 7.15 am for a 7.30 am ferry across to Circular Quay. All awake and excited to what lies ahead. There was 7 of us to do this amazing challenge!! Week 3 of our 12 week Hiking Group and we are already achieving great things!!!

Trish was happy to purchase her ”No Idea” magazine for the ferry.

Very Proud of Maria in doing this Hike.  With all her social commitments & having to take my mother home the night before!! Sandra  the time keeper, telling us the Km’s and the average pace. ”Speedy” Sarah. We had to make her do a few extra Km’s. Hellen was just happy to give the challenge a go! Deb the Legend ”One step at a time” and Jade the ”Walking Fridge” having a 15kg Backpack.

We got off the ferry and started Hiking to the Harbour Bridge. We had the most stunning views of Sydney Harbour. It was the biggest highlight of the day.

We trekked the street & Parks of North Sydney / Neutral bay until we hit the nature trail. We trekked along the foreshore. All the way until Spit Bridge.

We had great views the whole way around but it wasn’t all smooth sailing!!!

There were obstacles like  ”Killer Hills and Stairs” through our 25 km Hike.

Doing this Hike once a year. You tend to forget all the ”Bad Bits”, however it was rewarding to make it to the end!

As you do get, Well deserve REST!!!!  We had a morning Tea break at Sirius Cove Reserve and Lunch at Balmoral Park looking over the water.

We had one more BIG CHALLENGE!!! to get home the ”Gallipoli Stairs” before we hit Sydney road and make our way down in to Manly.

We Made it!!! Very happy & pleased to have done this Hike!!!
