Annie Has Got Her Balance Back!
Annie has been training for several weeks now. She joined as because she had lost her confidence as a result of a fall, and never regained it. Breaking your leg means significant muscle waste in both legs, and it can take years to regain it. For some people, the never do, because they never train the muscle properly. The body will simply work around the muscle deficit, sometimes causing an odd gait, disrupted balance, and pain because the bones and muscles are working in odd ways. Regaining full functionality in a limb (both of them), requires a targeted approach to the muscles that should be working – and not being tricked by the body’s way of bypassing the weak ones! Annie’s program has been developed with the advice and guidance of a physio, which helps to ensure that her sessions are exactly what she needs. She is also training in between her sessions on her own, to accelerate the recovery process.
Thanks Jade for helping me recover some balance over the past few weeks. After breaking a leg and spraining the other ankle during the winter I was starting to feel quite unsteady. I know I have a long way to go but with your expertise and encouragement I feel stronger. The gym is a great place to go. Many thanks and Merry Christmas, Annie Rees
Good on you Annie! It can be frustrating to train dysfunctional muscles, and your consistency and patience is paying off! You’ll have better balance than a gymnast by the time we are finished with you!
Thank you for choosing IntoYou!
